8:30 a.m. Mt. Moosilauke Hike
Please contact Peter Kilmarx for more information. We'll plan to have a group photo at 8:30 am in front of the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge on Thursday morning June 15 and then start hiking. Some hikers will be faster than others, so we'll be spread out after that. You'll need walking or hiking shoes and a day pack. Some folks like hiking poles as our knees get older. We'll keep an eye on the forecast. Peter is bringing a fleece jacket, rain jacket, and warm hat and hope that he won't need them. (It was raining sideways on the summit one year.) The hike is 7 miles, usually 4.5-5 hours. Learn more about this trail.
For those who made overnight reservations, the Lodge can supply a sack lunch for you for June 15. If you didn’t already order lunch when you made your reservation, it would be best to call the Lodge (603-764-5858) and order in advance. You may also be able to order a sack lunch for June 15 when you check in on June 14. If you did not get an overnight reservation at Moosilauke, you can look for a place to stay on June 14 in the Lincoln/North Woodstock, NH area half an hour away and join us at the Ravine Lodge at 8:30 am on June 15. You can also order a sack lunch from the Lodge for the hike, but you must call (603-764-5858) and order by June 14.
