AOA Executive Committee Conference Call

John "J.B." Daukas opened the conference call.
A motion was made and seconded to approve the October 27, 2011 AOA Executive Committee conference call minutes. The motion was unanimously approved.
JB Daukas said that the 203rd Alumni Council meeting was very productive with a busy 3-day schedule.
The council voted to nominate the three candidates for the three open spots for trustee candidate. The vote was unanimous. The candidates are Nathaniel Fick '99, Richard H. Kimball '78, and Ben Wilson '73. Nate Fick and Ben Wilson were in attendance at the presentation and Rick Kimball joined via Skype.
The announcement postcard was sent on December 9 , 2011. The deadline for petition trustee candidates is February 9, 2012.
JB Daukas provided a report from the AOA Balloting Committee. They have been meeting by conference call and are up to date on their election responsibilities.
Lynne Gaudet stated that the election timeline has a trustee petition candidate deadline of February 9, 2012. December 16, 2011 is the deadline to receive petition constitutional amendments. Next week the nominated AOA slate will be posted on the website.
On April 12, 2012 the paper ballots will be counted. The Board of Trustees will vote on the seating of the candidates after that.
The AOA annual meeting will be held in Hanover on April 14, 2012 at 11 AM.
January 18, 2012, is the deadline for the AOA officers to send a 400 word statement /bio combination to Lynne Gaudet. The AOA executive committee members each have a limit of 250 words for their statement and bio.
JB Daukas discussed voter participation and the committee will continue the discussion about this topic on their next conference call.
The next conference call will be held in late January or early February.
