Thank you for your interest in the Dartmouth on Location event Merrily We Roll Along in New York City. The event is currently filled, and we are only accepting interested attendees to our waitlist. If you would like to be placed on the waitlist, please contact Lifelong Learning.

Start the new year off with the exclusive Dartmouth-only performance of Merrily We Roll Along, featuring Jonathan Groff, Lindsay Mendez, and Daniel Radcliffe at the New York Theatre Workshop.

Merrily We Roll Along follows the turbulent relationship between composer Franklin Shepard and his two lifelong friends — writer Mary and lyricist & playwright Charley and features some of Stephen Sondheim’s most celebrated and personal songs.

Before the show, join us for a reception and talk by Jacob H. Strauss 1922 Professor of Music Steve Swayne, author of How Sondheim Found His Sound. He will focus on missed shots, lost souls, and troubled shows in the context of Merrily and of Sondheim’s wider influence on the American musical.
