June 17, 2023
3–4:30 p.m.
Cook Auditorium

Rob Watson ‘84 & Sarah Strauss ‘84, organizers

Please join us for an engaging session on climate action led by Rob Watson and Sarah Strauss, with Maria Cole as our moderator. We will meet as a group in Cook Auditorium and introduce the general question: How can Dartmouth take action on climate change in the near and longer terms, to make the Big Green the greenest of all? We will present some background about the state of the College now, introducing the four thematic areas listed below, and then breaking out into smaller groups where participants can work with theme leaders to imagine strategies for the way forward. We will return to the full group for the last 25 minutes, reporting back and taking the exercise to a brief conclusion. Our goal is to help classmates apply similar ways of thinking about climate and sustainability goals and actions in their own lives and communities. We will provide resources before the reunion, as well as follow-up opportunities to help continue the conversation and promote action later in the summer. Look out for more updates and information in the coming week!
