In the Footsteps of the Rockefellers: Traveling Through the Gilded Age Corridor

Land based

Trace The Rockefellers evolution from Gilded Age titans to modern cultural visionaries as you journey
through the "Empire State.” Traverse the scenic Hudson Valley corridor—the same route the family
traveled between their political seat in Albany and their private sanctuary in Sleepy Hollow—balancing
the raw architectural power of the mid-century with the refined, European-inspired opulence of the early
1900s. Along the way, encounter the legacies of their fellow luminaries, from the Italianate grandeur of
the Vanderbilts and the Gothic strongholds of railroad king Jay Gould to the artistic dreamscapes of
Frederic Church.
