Volunteering as an admissions ambassador in your senior year is an excellent way to build your network and hone your interviewing skills, which will help you liaise effectively with Dartmouth’s global alumni community.

The Hill Winds Program
Students in the Hill Winds Program engage with Dartmouth alumni and the Alumni Relations team through a variety of events, networking opportunities, and specialized development training.
Volunteer and Learn
Current undergraduates can apply to the Hill Winds Program to enhance their professional and interpersonal skills, strengthen their ties to Dartmouth, and increase diversity at alumni events.
Eligibility
Juniors, sophomores, and first-year students are invited to apply to the Hill Winds Program for a minimum three-term commitment.
Hill Winds Program Goals
- Strengthen Dartmouth community ties
- Enhance professional and interpersonal skills (networking, public speaking, interviewing)
- Educate students on alumni programs and volunteer opportunities
- Support student growth through skills training in networking, public speaking, and interviewing
- Prepare students as representatives and ambassadors to alumni
- Involve a diverse group of students at alumni events
- Integrate aspects of diversity, inclusion, belonging, and equity (DIB&E) throughout program
