Katie Hixon is an assistant professor of engineering and a clinical assistant professor of orthopaedics. Her research in tissue engineering includes groundbreaking work in the development of biomaterial scaffolds to support patients healing from injury, disease, and congenial defects.
Joined by Calista Adler ’26, Hixon will share insights into the cross-campus collaborations driving the expansion of her research from bone specialization to other tissues, like tendons and skin.
