Storytelling Meets Technology: A Conversation with Abigail Hing Wen

Abigail Hing Wen is an AI tech leader, film producer and The New York Times bestselling author of Loveboat, Taipei, which has been adapted as the movie Love in Taipei, now streaming on Netflix and starring Ashley Liao (Hunger Games) and Ross Butler (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before). Abigail served as an executive producer and on set while filming in Taipei and London. Her sophomore universe, Kisses, Codes and Conspiracies, a thriller and romantic comedy novel, is an instant national bestseller, USA Today Best Seller and Amazon Editor’s Pick for YA Book of the Month. Loveboat, Taipei was Abigail’s first published novel after ten years of writing by night and working by day as a leader in law, venture capital and artificial intelligence.

She was a featured guest on Midday Talk with Dan Roderick, speaking on marketing to millennials. The show aired on National Public Radio (NPR) Baltimore. 

Lisa organized and hosted the How to Build a Strong Start-Up conference at Columbia University, mentioned in Yahoo Finance. She also lectured undergraduates and MBA candidates at The New School and The Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College. At MIT, she taught a summer course that covered the use of social media to enhance professional networking. Smith College invited her to speak as a part of their Executive Education Leadership Series. 

Lisa has spoken on multiple Ivy League campuses, including Yale, Princeton, and her alma mater, Dartmouth College. She served on the Board of the Dartmouth College Club of the Upper Valley, and continues to serve on the Board of the Dartmouth College Club of New York. After graduating, she worked at Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine, Tuck School of Business, and the College.
