Travel With Dartmouth
Winter Wonders of Japan
February 7-17, 2027: Join Nathaniel J. Dominy, the Charles Hansen Professor of Anthropology, for an unforgettable winter journey through Japan. Begin in Sapporo, tasting local beer and jingisukan (Genghis Khan lamb) before exploring the world-famous Snow Festival’s illuminated sculptures. Back on Honshu Island, visit Kanbayashi Onsen for relaxing hot springs and see snow monkeys at Jigokudani Monkey Park. Continue to Kanazawa to stroll Kenrokuen Garden, experience a tea ceremony, and explore a historic samurai quarter. End in Tokyo with a festive farewell dinner before departing for home.
