Opening Doors to Meaningful Careers

Your support removes the financial barriers many students face when considering work opportunities. Through your generosity, all students have a chance to experience meaningful internships—regardless of compensation.

A Holistic, Student-Centered Approach

Our innovative program ensures all students can pursue unpaid or low-paid internships by providing essential funding. Paired with personalized career coaching and an exclusve networking platform, the center offers a uniquely empowering experience for every Dartmouth undergraduate student.

Expanding Access and Opportunities for All

Financial constraints often restrict access to unpaid or low-paid internships. Your gift helps expand support, ensuring all undergraduates can pursue valuable pre-professional experiences without financial barriers.

A Best-In-Class Career Design Center

Our vision is to embrace an innovative life-design approach. Personal coaching sessions empower students to seamlessly integrate their academic and extracurricular experiences with their future career journeys.

Harnessing the Power of the Dartmouth Network

Through Dartmouth Connect, students tap into a supportive network of alumni, families, and friends to explore career paths, find mentors, and build meaningful professional connections.

Our vision is to take a forward-thinking, life-design approach that helps students connect what they’re learning in and out of the classroom.

The Impact

Empowered by Access

With an average internship award of approximately $5,000, we anticipate that an additional 250 undergraduates per year will be able to access outside employment experiences through Dartmouth funding.

Supported by Community

Each Dartmouth undergraduate will leave college empowered with the tools, experiences, and, most importantly, community support to pursue a meaningful and fulfilling career.

A $15 Million Challenge

The $15 million challenge gift from an anonymous alumnus will provide a dollar-for-dollar match to help raise an additional $15 million.

The goal is a total of $30 million in endowment funds to support more than 300 new internships a year, coordinated through what is currently known as the Center for Professional Development. Through these funds, Dartmouth will make internships—whether in business, arts and culture, nonprofits, or government—financially accessible to all undergraduates and a standard part of the Dartmouth experience.
