Hi everyone. My name is Armita. I'm a 25 studying government and English, and I'm minoring in Middle Eastern Studies and I am a well-being intern at the Student Wellness Center.

Hi everyone. My name is Jess. I'm a senior—or a 25—here at Dartmouth. I'm double majoring in neuroscience and Spanish, and I'm also pre-med. I work at the front desk as a student wellness center intern.

The Student Wellness Center is a central space on campus that provides students with well-being and mindfulness resources or wherever they are in their Dartmouth or personal journey.

It also has a lot of other offerings such as student wellness check-ins. Whether it's about academics or relationships or whatever is going on in someone's mind or in someone's life, there are counselors here that can talk to you about what's going on.

There's also a lot of different classes the students can engage with. In addition to getting a PE credit through these classes, students are also eligible to get a wellness credit so they can take yoga classes, Nidra classes—more mindfulness samplers that actually I'm going to be taking in this break, which I'm really, really excited about.

I also helped found the Dartmouth seltzer project about two summers ago. The goal of that was to reduce high risk drinking around campus. Our main mission is to provide non-alcoholic beverages at alcoholic events around campus, so at fraternities or other Greek spaces or other alcoholic events.

I actually started our podcast here, it's called The Road to Flourishing, where we talk about different mental health topics, topics that are taboo and topics that we're not really thinking about. One of my favorite episodes that we did was addressing the floating duck syndrome, which is basically this idea that at Dartmouth, sometimes I can feel like everyone is a duck, very calm on the surface level, but then you look under the water and you see the duck swimming really, really hard. I think talking about those feelings that a lot of students may be having and having an outlet for, it has been really awesome.

I have made the most incredible friends at Dartmouth. There are friendships that I know will last a lifetime. I am going to miss this place so much next year, and that's because of people like you. So thank you so much for your donation.

This has been the most incredible four years of my life. I have been able to do research and take part in the awesome student wellness center here and really grow as a human, and that would not have been possible without the donors to the Dartmouth College Fund.
