Welcome to the December 2024 edition of the Dartmouth College Fund's student-produced vlog! This month's featured student is Grace, a Class of 2026 anthropology and education major from Oregon.
Grace is actively involved in campus life through research, teaching, and work at the Student Wellness and Professional Development centers. A talented bassoonist and cartoonist, she is also participating in the Impact Winterim Leadership Intensive this winter break, partnering with “Satellite Gaming,” a nonprofit that creates safe and inclusive gaming spaces for teens.

Hi everyone. My name is Grace. I'm part of the Class of 26. I am from the great state of Oregon and I study anthropology and education. When I'm not hitting the books though, I do a couple kind of random things. I work at the Student Wellness Center as well as the Center for Professional Development. I also do some research here on campus and some teaching—but I also really enjoy the arts. I play the bassoon and I do cartooning. Lots of very fun things.
Even though I'm technically on my winter break, I'm engaging in the ImpACT Winterim Leadership Intensive through Dartmouth's Center for Social Impact. And through this, students are able to work with a community agency or organization and explore systems of social change. So for me, I'm working with a nonprofit called Satellite Gaming. We work with middle to high school students on creating healthy spaces for them to game, but also creating meaningful connections in the process. And then we also do some family education around gaming culture.
