Julia: My name is Julia Pie. I am a member of the class of 2027 from Doylestown, Pennsylvania, and I'm a neuroscience major. I'm on the track and field and cross-country teams.

Max: Hi, my name's Max. I'm a current freshman at Dartmouth. My intended major is a double major in music and economics. My intended major is a double major in music and economics. I'm a member of the cross country and track team here at Dartmouth.

Julia: One of the main reasons why I chose Dartmouth is the location. Sometimes I go for a run and we're only a mile or two off campus and we end up on the top of a mountain with the most beautiful view. And I just think about how lucky we are to be here.

Max: I chose Dartmouth because it was the best combination of all my interests, wanting to be educated well and compete at a D1 level. So when I was looking with my parents, I wanted to find a place that I felt I'd be both academically and athletically challenged. And Dartmouth was that place.

Julia: Something that I love about our team is that we really are all best friends. At one of the Ivy League championships, one of the other Ivy League teams mentioned, "oh, you guys all seem like you're best friends." And all we could say was "yes we are!" and I think that's just so special and unique about our team.

Max: When I think about my favorite memories on the team, I think it's something small, but with us being such a big family, I think that every day, all of us eating meals together has brought us all a lot closer because outside of the intensity of what we're aiming to do here, being able to relax and have meals with each other and get to know each other better has been really meaningful.
Outside of running, I am really involved with my acapella group here on campus. It's a really great group of guys. It's been a really fun way to expand into music and to meet people I feel I would otherwise not really get to interact with.

Julia: The flexibility of the D plan allows me to get involved in a lot of things, and there's time for practice. There's also time for coursework and extracurriculars such as research and community service, um, projects that I do on campus.

Max: I've met a lot of alum from Dartmouth men's track and field. A lot of our guys who just graduated last year have come back and visit in the fall and the winter, and there's one actually here right now, and that's been a great experience to know that we're so connected with all of our alum.

Julia: As a Dartmouth student, I'd like to say thank you to all of our donors for making this opportunity possible. We are so grateful.

Max: I'd like to thank all the donors for making my experience here so unique and memorable. Your contributions have really made a life-changing experience for myself and my family, and I can't wait to see where it takes me.
