Below is the preliminary schedule of events.  The schedule will continue to be updated with more details as we get closer to the weekend.  We look forward to welcoming your family to campus.

Friday, September 25

Root for the Big Green

A list of times and locations of all athletic events offered on Friday will be included so families can cheer on the Big Green.

Check-in and Welcome Center

Check in and pick up your nametag, welcome bag, and materials for the weekend.

Drop off Food and Personal Care Items for Upper Valley Families in Need

During the Welcome Center hours, drop off food and personal care items for Upper Valley families in need. Check the Family Weekend landing page for a list of specific items requested.

Brunch/lunch on your own

Enjoy a meal in the Upper Valley, or families are welcome to enjoy breakfast and lunch on campus at the Class of 1953 Commons with discounted prices.

Campus and Special Tours

Sign-up for Friday’s tours is at check-in, beginning Friday at 11:30 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis.

Book Arts Workshop Open House

Explore the Book Arts Workshop in the lower level of Baker-Berry Library.  Learn about methods of making books and other printed materials and try your hand at running a letterpress by printing a pre-designed souvenir to take home with you!

Open Houses with Campus Partners

A variety of offices and centers will have open houses. Stop by all those of interest to you anytime during this timeframe to learn more about the exciting opportunities and resources available for students.

Family Welcome Reception

Enjoy light appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages, hear brief welcoming remarks at 5 p.m. by senior leadership, and get to know fellow families.

Dinner on Your Own with Family and Friends

Enjoy a meal in the Upper Valley—check the Family Weekend landing page for ideas. The main on-campus dining location at the Class of 1953 Commons (aka FOCO) is open to all at discounted prices and is a great option for those with food allergies or dietary restrictions.

Enjoy a complimentary breakfast at the Class of 1953 Commons (aka FOCO). Your Family Weekend nametag is your “entry ticket” and Dartmouth students will use a meal swipe on their dining card.

A Conversation with Dartmouth President Sian Leah Beilock ‘76a and Trustee 

Please join Dartmouth’s 19th president, Sian Leah Beilock, and a Dartmouth trustee in a lively conversation to learn more about Dartmouth. The trustee will be engaging President Beilock with questions of interests to parents and families and provide her with the opportunity to share her vision and initiatives. 

Family Weekend Cookout

All are welcome to gather and enjoy a complimentary New England barbeque, catered by The Refinery, while relaxing and connecting with one another.

Half-Day Mindfulness Retreat

Join us for a half-day mindfulness and appreciation retreat where we will explore well-being, healthy relationships, and authentic self-awareness through meditation, reflection, and meaningful connection. More details and registration information will be updated in the schedule of events later in the summer.

Come and enjoy many of Dartmouth’s dance and a cappella groups as they perform for you. There will be two showcases to accommodate those who would like to attend.

House Communities Breakfast Receptions

Enjoy a continental breakfast with your student’s house community, meet the house professor and other members of the house team, and enjoy connecting and meeting other students and families in the same house community.

Choose Your Own Adventure

Enjoy a walk around Occom Pond with fellow families, hike, play pickleball, and explore the campus and Upper Valley.
