One of the most popular Dartmouth Club of the Pionee events, our annual Spring Dinner, will once again be held at the Willits-Hallowell Center at Mt. Holyoke College. This year we are changing it up a bit and holding the dinner downstairs in the Morrison Room, which has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the brook.

Given the importance of the Middle East in today's political climate, we are very excited to have Steven Simon as our annual dinner speaker. Steven, a terrorism and Middle East expert, was a visiting lecturer at Dartmouth College until 2016, when he accepted a position at Amherst College. Previously, he was Executive Director of the International Institute for Strategic Studies - US, and Corresponding Director of IISS - Middle East. From early 2011 through the end of 2012 he served on the National Security Council staff at the White House, where he was the senior director for Middle Eastern and North African affairs. With all the changes going on in Washington, it should be a very interesting lecture.

The event will start with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner and a talk by Professor Simon.
