More than 350 alumni and their guests were on campus September 20–21 for 2013 Class Officers Weekend (COW) and the inauguration of president Philip J. Hanlon '77.
Sixty-seven Dartmouth classes, from the Class of 1942 to the Class of 2013, were represented during the annual gathering of volunteers including class presidents, secretaries, treasurers, mini-reunion chairs, web editors, head agents, and newsletter editors.
"The entire weekend, with COW, Inauguration, and Convocation, was such a success," says Ben Day ‘66, web editor for the Class of 1966. "In my experience, and from the feedback I heard, the class officer sessions were all very productive, and the conversations were positive and purposeful. The journey continues, and I am excited to be a part of it all."
Martha Beattie '76, vice president for Alumni Relations, says, "Class Officers Weekend gives us a much-needed opportunity to ask how we can better support our alumni leaders, share our new initiatives, and most importantly—celebrate and thank our industrious volunteers who do so much for Dartmouth.”
