Day 1: Depart Gateway City

• Depart for Rome, Italy on international overnight flight
• AHI FlexAir participants should check bags to FCO (Rome)

Day 2: Rome/Perugia

• Arrive at Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci International Airport
• Transfer to the deluxe Sina Brufani hotel in Perugia
• Welcome Reception and Dinner with fellow travelers

Day 3: Perugia

• Morning enrichment: history of Perugia and Umbria
• Guided walking tour of Perugia’s medieval landmarks including Piazza IV Novembre and Fontana Maggiore
• Umbrian lunch and Perugian chocolate tasting
• Free time to explore Perugia and dine independently

Day 4: Perugia/Orvieto

• Enrichment: Icons of Umbria and its spiritual legacy
• Guided walking tour of Orvieto including the Gothic Duomo and Chapel of San Brizio
• Visit Oleoteca Bartolomei for olive oil tasting and lunch on a historic farm
• Return to Perugia and evening at leisure

Day 5: Perugia/Cortona/Montepulciano

• Explore Etruscan city of Cortona and its cathedral
• Visit the Museum of the Etruscan Academy in Palazzo Casali
• Discover Montepulciano’s Renaissance charm and wine cellars
• Return to Perugia and enjoy dinner on your own

Day 6: Perugia

• Hands-on cooking demonstration at a nearby winery with Nonna Marcella
• Enjoy a wine-paired lunch featuring traditional Umbrian cuisine
• Evening at leisure in Perugia

Day 7: Perugia/Assisi/Gubbio

• Guided visits to the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi and Basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli
• Explore medieval Gubbio, including the Church of San Francesco and Piazza Grande
• Learn about the Festa dei Ceri and Gubbio’s architectural landmarks
