Charting the American Story: A 250th Anniversary Voyage

Boston Fall Foliage

For seven memorable nights, your journey begins in the maritime heritage hub of Halifax before you settle into the elegant comforts of L'Austral and set sail toward the United States. After a serene day at sea, arrive in Boston, where America’s revolutionary roots take center stage along the storied Freedom Trail and in the historic neighborhoods surrounding Beacon Hill and Quincy Market. Continue south to Newport, a coastline rich in Gilded Age lore, where you may tour the opulent summer “cottages” of America’s industrial elite or take in Narragansett Bay from the deck of a classic sailing vessel.

Sailing onward, approach New York City beneath the gaze of the Statue of Liberty before delving into the layered narratives that define the city—from the poignant reflection of the 9/11 Memorial & Museum to the artistic energy of Brooklyn’s waterfront neighborhoods. A day in Philadelphia offers encounters with some of the nation’s most enduring symbols at Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, or the chance to explore the pastoral landscapes of Amish country. Your voyage concludes in Baltimore, whose historic harbor and cultural districts provide a fitting final chapter to this thoughtful exploration of the sites and stories that have shaped 250 years of American history.

This special journey will feature Martin Luther King III and Arndrea Waters King, renowned civil rights leaders and global humanitarians. Together with other expert lecturers, they will share powerful insights into leadership, equality, and the ongoing evolution of American ideals, offering meaningful reflection throughout the voyage.
