Americans wonder about the vitality of democracy in the United States, but is there cause for alarm? After thirty years of studying and searching for answers, Director of the Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy Jason Barabas '93 returns to Dartmouth with a new perspective, some data-driven empirical results, and a research agenda.

Self-guided visit. Free tickets will be distributed in numbered groups of ten. Groups will take the tour in order of their group number. In conversation with Howard Gilman ’44 Executive Director of the Hopkins Center for the Arts Mary Lou Aleskie, playwright Celeste Jennings ’18 will discuss the creation of her play Citrus, which she developed during her time as a student. Jennings will speak on her personal experience with the arts at Dartmouth, and Aleskie will look toward the future of the Hopkins Center, which is currently undergoing renovations.

Please join us for an engaging session on climate action led by Rob Watson and Sarah Strauss, with Maria Cole as our moderator. We will meet as a group in Cook Auditorium and introduce the general question: How can Dartmouth take action on climate change in the near and longer terms, to make the Big Green the greenest of all? We will present some background about the state of the College now, introducing the four thematic areas, and then breaking out into smaller groups where participants can work with theme leaders to imagine strategies for the way forward.
