Pre-Reunion Stay at Mt. Moosilauke
For those who want to stay overnight on Wednesday and/or Thursday at the new lodge on Mt. Moosilauke, coming into town a day or two early might be your best bet. You will need to make your own reservations by calling (603) 764-5858 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. The reunion classes have priority for lodging so be sure to mention that and reserve early!
Thursday, June 8
Pre-Reunion Sports
Sign up on the College Reunion Registration system. Any costs will be collected outside this system as directed by the classmate activity leader.
- Fishing: Paul Gross will organize a fishing outing for Classmates.
- Hiking: Explore Mt Moosilauke or another location on your own.
Explore the Upper Valley
This could be a perfect day to explore the Upper Valley by bike or by car. There are many options.
- You can meet up with an old friend for a day trip to Mt. Moosilauke (or to spend the night, see above for contact information).
- Take a walk around Hanover to see the many changes that have occurred around town.
- Enjoy a mini-vacation in New Hampshire and/or Vermont. There are a lot of points of interest in the Upper Valley. Check out some of these area highlights:
Friday, June 9
Registration and Help Desk open from 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
At registration you will receive your Reunion nametag. Please wear this throughout the weekend as it is your ticket to all activities and meals. You will also receive campus housing assignments and room keys (if applicable), Reunion swag, and directions to parking. Breakfast will be available at the Class of 1953 Commons.

8 a.m. Golf Outing and Tennis Play
Bob Glovsky is organizing a golf outing at the Montcalm Golf Club for classmates. This is an extra-cost event. Sign up when registering for Reunion. If you have questions, please contact Bob directly. Bill Nisen will organize court access for classmates. Contact him directly for details.
9 a.m. Rowing
Bob Haynes is organizing a “Reunion Row” from the Dartmouth boat house with college crew boats. Please contact Bob with questions.
10–11:30 a.m. Baker Tower Tours (D)
Baker Tower will be open at certain times throughout the Reunion. The view from this vantage point eclipses Bartlett Tower with long views down to Connecticut River Valley all the way to Mt. Ascutney.
10–10:45 a.m. Dartmouth College Today Campus Tour (D)
The Dartmouth campus has changed considerably since we were students, so you won’t want to miss the bus tour of the campus. You’ll see the new West End of Tuck Drive, the new Life Sciences building, a renovated Dartmouth Hall, as well as the new athletic facilities. Morning and afternoon sessions are available.

A team of 17 classmates completed interviews and prepared an essay with profiles that reflect on a group of classmates’ time in Hanover and the paths they took since graduation, the challenges they faced, satisfaction and joy gained, and advice for our own classmates and for the Class of 2023. The resulting Letter to Dartmouth College and The Class of 2023 provides inspiration for our class project “The Rise.” Join us for a panel and audience discussion led by classmates who participated in this project.

10:30 a.m. 1973 RISE Dedication
The newly established 1973 RISE venue, overlooking the Bema near the base of Bartlett Tower, will be dedicated to the College, bringing together class pride and purpose. Join the unveiling of the commemorative plaque that will mark this contemplative space for future generations. This beautiful vantage point is worth a visit, and thanks to the hard work of Bob Haynes and others, this Class Reunion project is a wonderful way for the Class of 1973 to leave its mark on campus. Climb Bartlett Tower when we are done.

Members of the Class of '73, including all attending class, members, adopted classmates, spouses, and widows, will be honored by the assemblage on the green as we march with the seniors who are graduating. Respectable dress please; sport coats optional. (This will be the closest to formal dress that will be needed during our reunion.) We are invited to remain for the entire commencement ceremony; however, it is understood that some may want to retire early.
