Professor Van Citters will focus on our ability to adapt to a changing landscape of patients, implants, and failures; and will look to the future of “success analysis.” Human-centered engineering combined with modern tools and materials allow our lab to harness the natural regenerative capacity of the patient, while wearable technology allows us to unobtrusively measure outcomes and perhaps one day predict and address bad outcomes before they ever happen.

Sammy McCorkle has taken over the helm of the Football Team as Interim Head Football Coach for the injured Buddy Tevens. He has been on Buddy Teevens’ staff since the head coach’s return to Hanover in 2005. The 1996 graduate and three-time letter winner at the University of Florida is in his 18th year on the staff and most recently helped guide the Big Green to the program’s 20th Ivy League championship in 2021. Mike Harrity is a visionary leader who brings more than two decades of hands-on experience to Dartmouth’s varsity, club, and recreational sports programs. He oversees Dartmouth’s Division I varsity program of 35 teams and all club sports, physical education, recreation, fitness and intramural programs.

For Black Americans, World War II was about not only America’s standing in the world but also about how much actual freedom would exist in the United States. Drawing on his new book, Sherman Fairchild Distinguished Professor of History Matthew Delmont explains how World War II raised questions regarding race and democracy that remain unanswered more than seventy years later. This is an inspiring history of bravery and patriotism in the face of unfathomable racism.

Moderated by John Merrow, looking back, a group of our classmates will relate their personal perspectives gained from experiences, and decisions that were life-changing. The path taken at a fork in the road that made all the difference... What has been most personally rewarding... In pursuit of a life well-lived. Panel participants will be Sam Cabot, Pete Israelson, Steve Lewinstein, Al Palmer, Roger Parkinson, Dick Swett, Ernie Torres and Johannes von Trapp. It will be a very interesting and meaningful event for all of us.
