Classes are responsible for planning some of their own events, including all class meals and receptions, evening activities that occur in the class tent or headquarters after dinner, entertainment between meals, a class memorial service, and a class meeting where a new slate of Class Officers will be selected.

You’ll work with the Volunteer Engagement team to develop your Reunion schedule. Templates will guide your planning.

In addition to these required events, the Class Reunion Committee or the Special Events Chair may also wish to coordinate optional class events. You’ll find a selection of such activities below, and if you have an idea for an event that you don’t see, please let the College know and they will do their best to accommodate your request.

The Volunteer Engagement team is happy to assist in coordinating a speaker from the faculty or administrators. This kind of talk can be on any topic that will be of interest to your classmates.

The College can help coordinate a class photo on the steps of Dartmouth Hall, Baker Library, or another space on campus that holds meaning for your class. The image files will be made available after the Reunion so it can be shared in your social media, newsletters, or emails. The cost for this photo is included in the Green Fee.

A tour of key parts of Dartmouth’s campus, like the Rauner Special Collections Library or the Orozco Murals, can be arranged through the College. A professor or librarian would be happy to act as a guide.

Gather your classmates and their guests and children for an afternoon of fun with three-legged races, egg tosses, and corn hole.

Arrange a wine, cheese, or beer tasting. A local caterer can help you organize an appropriate selection, so be sure to let your Catering Chair know if this is something you are interested in hosting.

Plan an event that showcases your class project and helps get people involved in a meaningful way. This is also a wonderful opportunity to invite campus constituents to meet your class and gain deeper insight into the project.

Bring out your class’s spirit of healthy competition and organize a sports tournament in golf, tennis, or softball. Classes can also participate in a group row at the Boat House. Be sure to let your Athletic Chair know if this is something you’re interested in hosting, since they can help with bookings.

Take a class field trip! You can go on a hike, visit a local brewery, or check out lots of other nearby attractions.
