There are lots of ways to get the word out to your classmates about your Reunion, both online and in print. You can use emails, your class website, letters, and many other methods to get people excited about the events.

Below, you’ll find fun ideas to help you get started. If you have any questions or need help creating your communications plan, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

  • Keep your Class website up to date with information about the Class Reunion Committee members, links to the Reunion schedule, and lists of the classmates who are planning to attend. After Reunion, be sure to update the site with photos and stories from the event.
  • Post on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) using the hashtag #DartmouthReunion before and during Reunion, so that classmates can follow along with the fun.
  • Send something fun with your mailings, like a magnet or pin with your class logo.
  • Offer an early-bird discount or raffle entry for early registrants.
  • Start a phone tree of volunteers who will call classmates and encourage them to attend, making sure you recruit volunteers who will cover different parts of your class.
  • Get creative with your mailings and send a holiday greeting or birthday cards throughout the year before Reunion.
  • Find photos from your time on campus and post them online or use them on postcards or magnets for your classmates. The Rauner Special Collections photo archives are a great place to search for these.
  • Don’t be afraid to name names and list classmates who have said they are planning to attend Reunion on your website and in your class newsletter.
  • Consider creating a funny video like the Class of 1990 did for their 25th Reunion!
