JB Daukas opened the call. A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the March 27, 2012 Executive Committee conference call. The minutes were approved. A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the Association of Alumni annual meeting that was held in Hanover on April 14, 2012. The minutes were approved.
Lynne Gaudet provided a recap of the 2012 Association of Alumni and trustee elections. Fourteen percent of alumni voted in the election, which is 1.5% less than last year. There is the same breakdown between those who voted by paper and those who voted electronically as was experienced in the 2011 election. 73% of alumni voted online and 27% of alumni voted by paper in both elections. The voting statistics will be posted on the vox the vote website next week.
The committee reviewed the 2013 election timeline. A motion was made and seconded to approve the timeline. The committee also approved the mailing of a third-class postcard and an email to all alumni about any alumni-nominated trustee vacancies if the Board of Trustees notifies the Alumni Council about any following the Board's meeting in June.
JB Daukas said that the Executive Committee would have to form a Nominating Committee and a Ballot Committee for the 2013 election. He asked committee members to consider if they would like to serve on either of these committees.
