I read this to prepare to evaluate an excellent Comparative Literature master's thesis and was fascinated by its depiction of the near future. I also was motivated by Montgomery Fellow Peter Sellars's description of Butler as one of the most important writers of the 20th century and by the enthusiasm for Butler's books shown by a new colleague.
