In preparation for my course on globalization and global development, I'm reading about the actions of the world's central bankers that led to the Great Depression of the 1930s. I'm trying to discern the background events leading up to the Great Depression and the similarities, and dissimilarities, between them and the events leading up to today's global financial crisis.
