Dartmouth Book Club: “Remember, You Are A Wiley”

Join us on Tuesday, January 7 at 12:00 p.m. ET for a virtual author talk with Maya Wiley ’86 discussing her new memoir Remember, You Are A Wiley with Cheryl Bascomb’82, Vice President for Alumni Relations at Dartmouth.

In the memoir, Maya Wiley shares her experiences as a child of two Civil Rights activist parents and how she embraces the power of activism through her work as an MSNBC legal analyst, professor, civil rights lawyer and former New York City Mayoral candidate. She shows readers how they too can remain optimistic in the face of adversity.

The event includes a discussion with book author Maya Wiley ’86, in conversation with Cheryl Bascomb ’82, followed by questions and answers with the audience. Registrants can submit questions during registration, or they can ask questions at the event.

Following the author talk, join us on our Dartmouth Book Club platform to continue exploring Remember, You Are A Wiley with weekly discussion topics as part of our online book club community. We’ll wrap up the reading period with a Zoom discussion on Monday, March 10 at 12:00 ET. The author talk and discussion group events are hosted by the Dartmouth Book Club.
