Join DCNY at the New York City Ballet’s All Balanchine Program Friday, May 24 and be part of our traditional, truly unique 3-feature D’art Blocks evening.
Balanchine’s Scotch Symphony, “a shimmering tribute to the romantic ballets of the 19th Century, leads a program that continues with the celebrated pas de deux Duo Concertant and Sonatine. The program concludes with Stravinsky Violin Concerto, a timeless classic that never ceases to reveal new intricacies.”
Format and Program for Friday, May 24
5 p.m.: Tickets will be available in your name at the Will Call window. Our ticket price of $74 is less than you would pay individually and includes all the extra features below!
6–6:25 p.m.: Collect your tickets at the Will Call window and gather for the dancer talk and backstage tour. Gather toward the left in the lobby – a ballet company representative will meet our Dartmouth group there at the appointed time of 6:30 p.m. Unfortunately, anyone who arrives after 6:30 p.m. will not be able to join the dancer talk and tour.
8 p.m.: Performance of Balanchine’s Scotch Symphony. Present your specially stamped ticket for a glass of champagne during intermission. You may want to eat before we meet at 6:30 pm because available snacks are costly and of modest size.
Your tickets will be available at the Will Call window after 5 p.m., Friday May 24, at the David H. Koch Theater, 20 Lincoln Center, (West 63rd Street and Columbus Ave).
Many thanks to Parent Liaison Nancy Koltes P'15 for coordinating this special annual event on behalf of DCNY.
