All Dartmouth alumni, parents, family, and friends are invited to join Mary Lou Aleskie, Howard L. Gilman ’44 Director of the Hopkins Center for the Arts, for a reception and performance by the Coast Jazz Orchestra at Dartmouth, led by Taylor Ho Bynum, and featuring special guest Myra Melford.

For its first tour with Bynum as the director, the Coast will focus on music by some of its most recent guest artists, including compositions by NEA Jazz Master Carla Bley, 2019 MacArthur Fellow Mary Halvorson, and 2019 NPR Jazz Critics Poll winner Kris Davis, plus a premiere of a new work by pianist/composer (and UC Berkeley professor) Myra Melford, who will be joining the ensemble as special guest.

The reception will include light refreshments and cash bar. The event is free of charge, but space at The Chapel is limited, so please reserve your place now.

Reception: 6:30 p.m.
Performance: 7:30 p.m.

Sponsored by Hopkins Center for the Arts, Dartmouth Alumni Relations and Dartmouth College Advancement.
