Many across the globe will be traveling to New Mexico for this vibrant event, and we warmly welcome all Dartmouth alumni and friends to join us for a casual gathering.
Celebrating the Native and Indigenous Community at Dartmouth
This gathering is also a celebration of the enduring impact of the recommitment to Dartmouth's founding charter. Longstanding areas like the Department of Native American and Indigenous Studies, the Native American Program, and newer initiatives like the Tribal Leadership Academy, continue to shape a vibrant, connected Native and Indigenous community at Dartmouth — one that alumni carry with them long after graduation. We're grateful for the chance to honor that legacy together in Santa Fe.
Our Venue
This gathering will take place at Cara Romero Gallery + Studio, located in Santa Fe. Cara Romero is a celebrated Chemehuevi photographer known for her monumental fine art photography, and her gallery showcases work by a roster of acclaimed Native artists. Cara is also a proud Dartmouth parent, with a child in the Class of 2010 — making her gallery an especially fitting home for our Dartmouth community to gather.
Her acclaimed exhibition, Cara Romero: Panûpünüwügai (Living Light), organized by the Hood Museum of Art, continues its tour this fall, moving to Jacksonville's Museum of Contemporary Art, where it will run from October 1, 2026 to March 21, 2027.
