In October 2020, all Dartmouth alumni were notified by mail and email that the Dartmouth Alumni Council had nominated a candidate for one alumni-nominated trustee seat on the Dartmouth College Board of Trustees that will be vacated in June 2021. Alumni were also informed of the petition process by which members of the alumni body could run for this vacancy. The deadline to file a petition was 3 p.m. on January 4, 2021. No petitions were received.
The nominee is Joyce A. Sackey, M.D. ’85 MED’89.
In accordance with Article V, Section 9 of the Association of Alumni constitution, this constitutes an uncontested election, and as such, the Association will not conduct an alumni-wide vote. This nominee will become trustee after a vote by the Board of Trustees.
