In June 2018, the Alumni Council was notified that there will be two vacant alumni-nominated seats on the Dartmouth College Board of Trustees in June 2019. The Association of Alumni invited all Dartmouth alumni to propose fellow alumni to fill these vacancies.

Following an extensive review process, the Council has nominated two candidates for alumni-nominated trustee in accordance with the Association of Alumni constitution.
