As we transition out of a fully virtual world, how can we revamp volunteer training and engagement so that it’s as effective as possible? How do we take advantage of what we have learned during the pandemic and apply it to our more traditional volunteer model? For this session, Councilors will break into three discussion groups, each with a different area of focus:

  • VOX: What do volunteers want out of VOX? What do you need from the College to help you do your work better and how can we give you that through VOX?
  • DEI Training: Brainstorm ideas for DEI training with alumni volunteers across all of Advancement. What have you attended/ been a part of in your own organizations? What kind of sessions are particularly engaging or thought provoking?
  • Constituent Communication: Overview the current process for Councilors to communicate with constituents and discuss how these methods could be improved. Do Councilors feel like they are making a difference for their constituents?
