Uploading Pages and Images

Once you have completed your HTML document, you are ready to upload it to the Dartmouth web server. Most HTML applications have built-in functions which allow you to open and save documents from a WWW (web) or FTP server. If this is the case, connect and save your file on the server using the following configurations:

Server: dartmouth.org
Path/Directory: /classes/<your class number> or /clubs/<your club name>

Login name: <your ID>
Password: <your password>

If your software does not have such functions, use an FTP program like Fetch for Macintosh to connect using the same configurations as above. Upload the file to the server (sometimes called "put file...") once you are connected.

Another easy method is to use your Internet Explorer browser:

Type in address: ftp.dartmouth.org

 ftp_step1

Click "File, Login as" and enter username and password and drag and drop files to and from your directory.
