• Eat lunch at a Chinese home special prepared by local Beijing people • Daily Mandarin phrase class with our tour director • Visit the world famous Great Wall of China, an experience that consistently exceeds visitors’ expectations. • Tour China’s first emperor’s burial complex, where the extraordinary 2,300-year-old terracotta warriors still stand today. • Swim in the Beijing Olympic Swimming Pool where Michael Phelps became a champion • Fly Chinese kites in the Temple of Heaven with Chinese kite masters • Practicing martial arts at China’s most famous martial art school • Explore the Grand Mosque, which uses Chinese architectural design for Islamic purposes • Travel down the Yangzi River through the spectacular Three Gorges • In Shanghai, walk through Xintiandi, a stylish restaurant and shopping district designed by MIT architect Ben Wood. • Explore the collection of Chinese bronzes, jade pottery and ceramics, paintings and calligraphy, old coins and furniture at the Shanghai Museum • Absorb the Chinese traditional garden ambience in Yuyuan Garden in old Shanghai • Visit the Children’s Palace and meet talented art, music and science students |
