More information about reunion dates and planning for 2021

Why was the decision made to cancel in-person Reunions?
Due to the uncertainty of the pandemic and the need to prioritize operations for students on campus, the decision was made to cancel reunions in early 2021.

Why can’t all classes come back in June 2022?
While we would love to welcome classes back to Hanover in June 2022, we simply do not have the facilities to accommodate three Reunion cohorts.

Why couldn’t 2020 and 2021 Reunion Classes return during Homecoming 2021?
With students on campus during Homecoming, there would not be enough rooms available to host 2020 and 2021 Reunion classes.

Could 2020 and 2021 reunion classes come back to Hanover some other time in 2022?
Multiple scenarios were examined to try and bring 2020 and 2021 Reunion classes back to Hanover but with summer term and campus construction, there unfortunately is not enough space to accommodate 2020 and 2021 classes.

Is there anything planned for classes of 2020 and 2021 to gather before their next Reunion?
Yes! Homecoming this October will include special touches for Reunion classes, and we are planning regional gatherings for early 2022.

Can we have a class gathering during Homecoming 2021?
Classes are welcome to organize mini-reunions and class meetings at Homecoming in 2021.

When will planning for 2022 Reunions begin?
The Volunteer Engagement team in Alumni Relations will work with classes to begin planning for 2022 Reunions in July 2021.
