Shakespeare at Blackfriars

Macbeth, Kenneth Branagh, and Peter Saccio
New York City
Thursday, June 19, 2014
Park Avenue Armory

Join fellow alumni at the Park Avenue Armory Theater to view the widely anticipated U.S. premiere of Shakespeare's Macbeth by Rob Ashford and Kenneth Branagh. The performance marks Branagh’s first appearance on the stage in New York. Described by the Daily Telegraph as “one of the Scottish Play’s great revivals,” the performance sold-out for its run at the Manchester International Festival in England.

Prior to Macbeth, enjoy a discussion with Peter Saccio, the Leon D. Black Professor of Shakespearean Studies and professor of English emeritus. The author of several books, including Shakespeare’s English Kings: History, Chronicle and Drama, Saccio has taught at Dartmouth for more than 40 years.

The ticket includes a welcome cocktail reception with passed appetizers and cash bar, presentation by Professor Saccio, and a ticket to Macbeth
