A Dartmouth Day at the Safari Park

ESCONDIDO, CALIFORNIA - We invite you to make time this fall for some fun in the park with fellow Dartmouth alumni and lions, tigers, and bears. Oh my! The San Diego Zoo Safari Park provides the perfect setting for kids and adults alike to learn more about the Zoo's efforts to champion wildlife from around the globe. At the recently opened Tull Family Tiger Trail Exhibit, you will have the chance to go nose-to-nose with critically endangered Sumatran tigers, watch them swim, or play of tug-of-war with one of these beautiful, powerful animals. Prepare for adventure, and be thankful for the Plexiglas! Pearl Harbor with President Emeritus
James Wright

HONOLULU - Join fellow alumni on this once-in-a-lifetime Dartmouth educational program and visit such poignant sites as the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific and the memorials for the USS Arizona and the USS Missouri. Renowned historian and former Dartmouth president James Wright '64a will deliver two presentations. The first will be on the Pearl Harbor attack on December 7, 1941 and its aftermath. In the second he will discuss the way Americans historically have remembered and memorialized the country’s wars and those who have sacrificed in them. Read more
