Young Alumni Distinguished Service Awards Committee

Each year up to four alumni are selected to receive the prestigious Dartmouth Young Alumni Distinguished Service Award, established by the Alumni Council in 1990 to honor young alumni for outstanding volunteer service to Dartmouth College.

The Young Alumni Awards Committee consists of five former recipients of the Young Alumni Distinguished Service Award and a staff member of the Alumni Relations Office (committee secretary). In selecting one or two recipients each year, this committee seeks strong alumni candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the Young Alumni Distinguished Service Award and places strong emphasis on Dartmouth volunteerism.

Alumni are eligible for the Dartmouth Young Alumni Distinguished Service Award during their first 15 years after graduation. In selecting recipients, the Young Alumni Awards Committee uses specific criteria, including breadth, depth, length, and quality of volunteer involvement.
