Gather with fellow alumni and friends for the annual Dartmouth Club of Rhode Island dinner and wine pairing, with special guest speaker Bob Whitcomb '71, American journalist, columnist, and author of Cape Wind: Money, Celebrity, Class, Politics and the Battle for Our Energy Future on Nantucket Sound. A former longtime editorial page editor at The Providence Journal and a current columnist for the upstart web weekly GoLocal Prov, Mr. Whitcomb has been at the forefront of journalism. He worked at such prestigious publications as The International Herald Tribune and The Wall Street Journal during their heydays. He will share insights on our country's state of affairs, asking, "how did we get here?" and "where will this lead?"
Dinner costs $35 for dues-paying members and their guests or $45 non-dues paying alums and guests.
After dinner, alumni can gather for an after party at either The Square Peg (a lively venue) or Wharf Tavern (decidedly more sedate).
