This year, the Dartmouth Club of Suburban New Jersey will be celebrating their 11th annual wine tasting. (Yes, 11th! Another 10 years and we'll actually be legal.) This year's theme will be French wines. Bill Cunningham '78, the organizer of this event, made two trips to France in 2017 with the sole purpose of researching French wines in anticipation of this year's tasting. He plans to include a wine from a Loire Valley winery owned by friends of his.

The tasting will be at La Cucina, about a mile north of the center of Denville. It is currently an Italian restaurant located in an historic building which was originally a country store and a "way station" on the Morris Canal. The building's historic characteristics have been carefully preserved. Appetizers are guaranteed to be generous. Wine will likely not be skimpy, either.

The total price per person will be $45 (or $40 if you are a Club member). This includes the wine, appetizers served family style, and the private room for our tasting. To the extent we don't drink up the profits, any remaining amounts will be contributed to the Club's scholarship fund. For anyone who still has room after the tasting, some of us plan to stay for dinner. We hope you will be able to join us for both the tasting and dinner afterwards. All alumni, parents, and friends are welcome to attend as well.

To reserve your spot, please forward your check payable to the "Dartmouth Club of Suburban New Jersey" by May 1, care of Bill Cunningham '78, 8 Split Rock Rd., Boonton Twp. NJ 07005. (Although we may be able to accommodate late sign ups, we need to give the restaurant a reasonably accurate headcount a week in advance.) If you have any questions, please contact Bill at 973-402-8233 or
