IN PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE

Dartmouth College

Recognizes with Deep Appreciation
the Extraordinary Achievements of the

CLASS OF 1979
Recipient of the 2014-15
Honorable Mention, Classes 26 Years or More Out
In Recognition of an Outstanding Mini-Reunion Program

The Mini-Reunion Chairs Association is comprised of a group of individuals, selected by their classmates, who have generously volunteered their time and energy to keep class bonds strong. Members span seven decades as well as the globe, but all share a deep loyalty to the Dartmouth College community. The mini-reunion program strengthens the legendary Dartmouth alumni community and inspires us to continue to return by the thousands for Homecoming Weekend, make our voices heard in campus issues, and provide the critical--and generous--financial support for the many classes to come, long after we ourselves have left the College.

It is therefore our honor and pleasure to recognize and thank the Class of 1979 for an exceptional year of programming. The Class boasted twenty-five mini-reunions this year with over seven hundred alumni and guests coming out to reconnect with each other and the College they love. Masterfully organizing twelve cluster reunions with the classes of 1980 and 1981, a Derby party in Hanover, football tailgates at Princeton and Yale, and a successful 79th day of the year event with participation ranging from taking a "micro-mini" selfie sharing to a basketball game in Chicago, it is no wonder this class stood out among the rest.

Thank you so much for challenging the imagination year after year and helping to keep the Dartmouth spirit truly evergreen.
