The Diversity Awareness Initiative for Students, DAIS, is a nonprofit student-led organization dedicated to strengthening our schools through increased knowledge, awareness and respect for differences among us. DAIS was established in 1999 by and for students in grades 8 through 12.
The 13th Annual Multicultural Student Leadership Conference, the DAIS Conference, will be taking place at the Poly Prep Country Day School in Brooklyn. This event will feature registration and continental brunch, workshops and other activities, a talent show/open mic, dinner and a party with the option of games!
Dartmouth Alumni are warmly invited to be part of this special day! DAIS is in need of adults like you, to volunteer to chaperone/help.
To volunteer for a block of time, call Joan Marable '76 at 718-756-7298 or email daisorg@aol.com (see also www.daisorg.org).
